New community in West Ibadan, Nigeria

June 9, 2015

Having prepared the outline masterplan in 2014, we are currently developing six typical residential units that range from bungalows and town houses to villas and apartments.

Each of these is being designed to support the overarching ambitions of the masterplan, which seeks to foster a strong sense of community and identity while sensitively integrating new development within the site’s natural setting.

In particular, this has involved a complex building massing strategy that encourages views from all units and minimises overlooking from adjacent units – this is particularly significant owing to the variation of typologies and a gradual slope in topograpy towards the river.

In parallel with the development of units, the design of roads, services and utilities is well underway and the site is currently being cleared for grading.

You have done such a good work in Nigeria. I believe it is a good sign of doing business in Nigeria. Let’s watch and see the new government settle down.

    • Thank you kindly Eng. Dauda. The Outline Master Plan is included a few posts earlier and it’s all beginning to fit together now. Hoping all is well with you in Kaduna.
